Three minutes research project competition for students

Three minutes research projects competition challenges pharmacy students to orally present their research project in just 3 minutes. The aim of such competition is to develop students’ communication skills, enthusiasm and time management, appropriate spoken language and art of conclusion

Terms & conditions

A single PowerPoint slide is permitted (no slide transitions or animations), and no additional electronic media are allowed.

The students must present their own research project

History of 3 minutes thesis (3MT)

The first 3 minutes thesis was held at University of Queensland in 2008 with 160 students competing. Enthusiasm for the 3MT concept grew and its adoption by numerous universities led to the development of an international competition. The inaugural Trans-Tasman 3MT was held at UQ in 2010 with 33 universities participating. For more information visit https://threeminutethesis.uq.edu.au/
